lyrics

THERE WILL COME A TIME
I've been tossed around by fate so long
But here I am still going strong
And I never know what fortune's got in store

My luck's run out so many times, it's a regular event
It's the only thing I'm sure of anymore

And I'm still learning how to keep my happy thoughts around
Whenever my esteem's under attack
Losing touch with everyone
But I don't mind because there will come a time
When I can look right back and laugh

I've been dishonest with my heart before
But now I'm turning 24
And I think I know how love's supposed to feel

My overactive imagination's tricked me in the past
So I'm holding on to what's definitely real

And I'm still learning how to keep my happy thoughts around
Depression's got my face pinned to the floor
Losing touch with everyone
But I don't mind because there will come a time
When nothing matters anymore

I've stopped wondering whether fate will smile
Or if I'm acting like a child
Just like everyone who knows me knows I do

It's like wondering if the wind will blow or the day turn into night
And I'm sick of trying to hide out from the moon

And I'm still learning how to keep my happy thoughts around
Whenever my esteem is cut in half
Losing touch with everyone
But I don't mind because there will come a time
When I can look right back and laugh
